The LPOA Recreational youth soccer program is a member of Arkansas State Soccer Association (ASSA) which functions under the United States Soccer Association (USYA). The recreational allows for participation regardless of skill level and each participant should play at least half the game.
SPRING SOCCER - The spring soccer season begins in late February and ends late April. Ages are under 6 through under 18 girls and boys. You do not have to be an LPOA member to participate. Complete a registration form and submit it to the LPOA Office by registration deadline. Registration forms may be obtained at the LPOA Office or one may be downloaded from the REC SOCCER REGISTRATION FORM found on the left side of this page. For deadline submission dates see the insert below or click here and view the season months on the Calendar. Any players signing up after the registration deadline will be put on a waiting list.
Spring Soccer submission dates, fees and information for 2012:
1. Registration DEADLINE is Tuesday, January 31st, 2012.
2. Approximate date for season to begin is March 3rd ,2012
3. Games & practices will not exceed three one-hour sessions per week.
4. Cost per player is $95.00 - AGES 6 AND UP - LPOA members receive a $25 discount
making Registration $65.00. A $15.00 discount will be given to those who played in the
Fall if the same uniform is used for the Spring Season.
5. AGES 4-5 (micro) -cost per player is $80.00 for non LPOA members & $55.00 for LPOA
members.
A $5.00 LATE FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR LATE REGISTRATION
Non residents are eligible for associate memberships.

FALL SOCCER - There is a fall soccer season with registration July. Season begins in September and ends early November. Ages are under 6 through under 18 girls and boys. Any players signing up after the registration deadline will be put on a waiting list. Teams begin Central Arkansas Soccer Association (CASA) League play September through October. Micro Soccer begins on mid September and will play Tuesday's and Thursday's at 6:00. U7 & U8 teams will play on either Monday or Tuesday against other Lakewood teams and Saturday mornings against other CASA teams.

SOCCER FALLFEST TOURNAMENT - is October 27 -October 28, 2012 and will be played at Burns Park Soccer Complex. Team Registration forms may be obtained from the LPOA Office or one may be downloaded from the FALLFEST FORM under the Fallfest link found on the left side of this page.
SOCCER DIVISIONS FOR LEAGUE PLAY:
U7 / U8 - At this level teams will keep score and have a qualified referee. The coaches will remain on the sideline and the format of the contest will be 4 vs. 4. No Goalie will be allowed.Players will have a skills night so that coaches can observe their skills such as dribbling, kicking, and running. The teams will be chosen with the intent of keeping the teams competitive.
U9/U10- - The format will be 6 vs. 6 and a designated goalie will be used.
U11/U12- The procedures for these age groups will be the same as U9/U10 except the format will be 8 vs. 8.
U13 and UP - At this level regular soccer rules will apply and the format will be 11 vs. 11.
